Welcome to Treva Tribit Photography!

Hi! I'm Treva, a professional wedding photographer from North Dallas who specializes in capturing weddings. We are located in McKinney, Texas but we serve the photography needs of the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you've followed my blog you know I'm more than just a wedding photographer. As you will quickly learn, my primary passion is my walk with our Savior Jesus Christ and without Him I firmly believe none of this, my talents, my life, or anything around me would be possible. I feel so entirely blessed by the talents and the people that He has put in my life.

As a photographer, I believe a photographer should be able to capture the essence of anything, whether it be landscapes, families, children, details or anything in between. My camera is merely a tool to help me capture what I see, the entire world a canvas, and my clients give me the inspiration to carry out the creative visions they invoke. Whether it be the dreamy eyed gazed between two lovers, or a rambunctious toddler staring down the lens, or the tender moments between parents and their newborn...you bring it, and I will capture it. It's my joy, my passion, and it would be my pleasure to work with you. Join me on this adventure! Thank you for stopping by.

Blog Posts: Engagement

Jason and Christina Engagement (part 1)

It was hot.  No, I mean HOT!!  The Cotton Mill in Mckinney is beyond amazing for any kind of portraits, but for this couple, it definitely fit the bill!  But, seriously, we were dripping…but thankfully, you can’t see it in the shots.  All you see is HOT!  The other kind I mean. ;)   And, how completely in love these two are…from PF Changs where they met, to New Braunsfels TX where they will wed in November (when its WAY cooler, just sayin’) this couple is clearly comfortable with each other, and crazy about one another!  We had a blast running all over the Cotton Mill with them, and in a burst of inspiration (namely, we are going on vacation in a day, and I didn’t want them to have to wait for our return to have their engagement pictures) I shot and edited all of these in ONE night!

Anyway, Congratulations Jason and Christina…we had a great time with you, and wish you many blessings in the next few months leading up to the big day!

Engaged: Stephen & Andrea’s Dallas Shoot (Part 1)

These two fit like gloves in the city.. Stephen and Andrea look like they walked right off of a magazine with their striking good looks and, well, her WAY hot heels.  Those heels could make a girl drool. For reals.  And they totally compliment one another…just in case Andrea started to take things too seriously, Stephen would whisper something that I can only imagine had to do with her heels, and she would bust out in a huge grin  (ok, I’m obsessed with those heels, what of it?)

Shooting engagement photos in Dallas is like finding a pink flower in the Dallas Arboretum.   Seriously, easiest shooting EVAH!  I think we could wander downtown Dallas all day, and never stop finding places to shoot those heels.  I mean, this couple. ;)   We made our way from The Magnolia Hotel area down Commerce Street, and circled around.  Stephen and Andrea’s gorgeous wedding is in August, but I am totally excited for her bridals in June…I have an awesome location I’m working out the details on!

Congratulations Stephen and Andrea, it was a blast to hang out with you, and we can’t wait for the coming months!

Engaged: Chris & Sumer (sneak peek!)

Last week, God put a great big white blanket over our state, specifically in our area.  TWELVE inches of snow…setting a record around here.  And all I could think about was how amazing it would be to capture a couple in this rare, beautiful moment in time.  And, Chris and Sumer being spontaneous and fun loving, moved up their engagement shoot to let me play in the snow with them!!  I texted her a few days before, and she said “IF” we actually got snow, and IF Chris was off in time…YEAH!  And, all the “IF’s” fell into place.  The location was perfect in that, it was their backyard. ;)   They have the most beautiful property, and we had such a fantastic time with all that white stuff!  Chris and Sumer ooze engaged bliss, and believe me, the kissing was completely undirected, they most definitely did not need encouragement from me!  They have the cutest energy between them, and we are SO excited to be shooting their upcoming wedding at the gorgeous Dreams Resort Tulum in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico!  Engagement pictures in the snow, and wedding pictures in the sand and beautiful water…definitely one-of-a-kind! :)   Congratulations Sumer & Chris!!  We are SO excited to be part of this adventure with you guys, to catch up after all these years Sumer, and to spend this precious moment in time hangin’ with the two of you!

Your images: Our art

Your wedding, engagement, family, bridal photos are so much more to me than an image.  Locations are backdrops, and lighting is an artistic element, and when I edit, I’m looking for ways that your photos are truly pieces of art that portray feeling, and the moment, and beauty.  As I spoke with a potential clients mother this morning, I was reminded how incredibly precious these photos truly are.  So many tiny details are put into a wedding day, so much time and thought, and then its over.  And what is left?  Memories, and while I do not fancy myself more important than I am, I’m incredibly thankful I can capture such beauty on a cherished day (and call it my job!)  :)   I will be compiling “favorites” posts…happy shots, sweet moments, kickin’ style and through it all, we have truly been blessed with the most amazing clients.   2009: You rocked!  2010:  I’m ready for all you have in store for us!  Here’s a little taste, since a post is extra special with a picture:
