So, I’ve been seriously behind on blogging, its going to be all business right now, I’ve got SO much to catch up on!!  I had a group of family/baby shoots, and I KNOW you’ll recognize this cutie-pie with the bow on her head!!  It’s sweet baby C (in Adriatica in Mckinney TX), and she’s just a-growin’ and a-growin’!  I’m thinking with this kind of adorable, we should find a way to make her STOP!    Look for her adorable one year shoot coming in July!  And if you are kind, leave a sweet shout-out to her mom and dad in the comments below, I KNOW they would love it!!  Adrienne & Joey-you guys have become amazing friends, and I feel overwhelmingly honored that we have been there for so many of the biggest events in your lives..engagement, bridal, wedding in Fredricksburg, and all the sweetest milestones with your sweet little C, from newborn and now ONE YEAR!!  Wow!  Love you guys!!!

Cookies.  They are the absolute favorite of this sweet mom, Wendy….snickerdoodles, raisin chocolate chip…my mom used to make a batch just for Wendy.  Sleep overs and Cabbage Patch Kids, Girl Scouts, swimming, best friend necklaces, all of this reminds me of so long ago.  In our small hometown, so much promise ahead of us, so much innocence around us still.   And seeing this dear friend brought it all back.  That’s the beauty and blessing of friends you grew up with…they make memories so tangible you can reach out and touch them.  They remind you of roots and something simpler, before carpooling and cooking meals, and endless laundry, and this life that can sometimes seem more like the movie Groundhog Day.  I absolutely love where God has brought me now, but it is ever so sweet to be reminded of where He had me and how blessed I was to have been there, with such a true friend.   Love you, Wendy!  And again, so glad you picked me for your precious family photography!

We decided a forest in Mckinney was the best spot to photography  this set of rambunctious twins, and little baby Lily, who I completely admit, captured my heart!  Little did I know that tall grass, tree’s, even bugs and weeds, don’t stop this duo from outrunning all of us!  At one point, Bob had a kid under each arm and a baby in a stroller!  But, not only did I get to see (and capture) the precious stage and season in their lives for REAL, but what amazing images we ended up with thanks to their adventurous spirits.   And has been the case lately, they are just too good for one day….so we’ll savor these images for two days in two parts!

But, I should have known that these three sweet little ones would completely melt my heart…they remind me of one of the sweetest people I’ve ever know.  One of my best friends from childhood…their mom!  I am SO very happy and excited we have reconnected, and more than honored to have met her precious family!  Love you guys!  Oh, and happy first birthday, sweet Lily!!

By this time, you MUST be excitedly awaiting which bow little Baby C is going to don every three months for her next shoot…right?  Ok, so it hasn’t quite been 3 months, but since Adrienne & Joey have the first year package, we fit in the sessions at each birthday milestone as we can!  And for cutie pie Miss C, we had a 6 month session just in time for CHRISTMAS!  It was cold, dreery, and definitely not baby-worthy weather but we managed an indoor session at their home, and can I just say….this little angel has her very own Christmas tree!  And ornaments.  And an aunt next door with a totally different feel, so we had our choices of themes for this shoot!!

I just know that there will be a day that Adrienne and Joey (and the rest of the family that adore this baby) will look back on her very first Christmas.  She’ll be bigger, and they’ll enjoy that stage just as much…but this will always be her first.  And their first with her.  I hope that these images will forever hold this treasured moment in their hearts, long after the tree is put away, lights are down, and the season is a memory.

We love you guys!  Thanks for letting us be apart of your lives, it has been the greatest honor.
