Welcome to Treva Tribit Photography!

Hi! I'm Treva, a professional wedding photographer from North Dallas who specializes in capturing weddings. We are located in McKinney, Texas but we serve the photography needs of the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you've followed my blog you know I'm more than just a wedding photographer. As you will quickly learn, my primary passion is my walk with our Savior Jesus Christ and without Him I firmly believe none of this, my talents, my life, or anything around me would be possible. I feel so entirely blessed by the talents and the people that He has put in my life.

As a photographer, I believe a photographer should be able to capture the essence of anything, whether it be landscapes, families, children, details or anything in between. My camera is merely a tool to help me capture what I see, the entire world a canvas, and my clients give me the inspiration to carry out the creative visions they invoke. Whether it be the dreamy eyed gazed between two lovers, or a rambunctious toddler staring down the lens, or the tender moments between parents and their newborn...you bring it, and I will capture it. It's my joy, my passion, and it would be my pleasure to work with you. Join me on this adventure! Thank you for stopping by.

Vendor Spotlight: The Magnolia Hotel in Dallas, Texas

Dallas wedding photography is as varied as the couple, the venue, the vendors, and the photographers, and you can see a place 100X around here, yet find something new about it each and every time…and so was the case when we shot a wedding last weekend at The Magnolia Hotel in Dallas.  As it goes, most weddings have their little hiccups here and there, bumps in the road, but what a gloriously beautiful road this ended up being!  Tiffany & D’Anders picked an absolutely gorgeous Dallas wedding venue, and the coordinator at The Magnolia Hotel, Jessica Smith, was amazing.  She had every single detail under control, watched over the whole evening with a careful, attentive eye, and was gracious and kind as well.  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jessica and the staff.  It was a pleasure to be the chosen wedding photographers at The Magnolia Hotel in Dallas, and most especially for such a sweet, kind couple like Tiffany and D’Anders!  And here is just one single little peeky-peeky into their wedding.  A bigger sneak peek to come!

Vendor Spotlight: Fabulous hair designer~Heather Roundy!

I met up with hair design extraordinaire Heather Roundy (ok, so she was doing my hair, I admit it) and asked her the burning questions most brides and wedding vendors ask.  Heather does an amazing job on everything she does in her field, but she has a special knack for gorgeous styling, which makes her amazing for brides and the bridal party, moms, grandma’s…the day of a wedding.  She travels to the venue, rocks out the updo’s, downdo’s, curlydo’s (I don’t profess to know all the fancy hairstylist terms, friends), but I do know when my she has styled the bride’s I’m shooting, they look MARVELOUS!  Heather is considered one of the top designers in the DFW area, particularly in wedding hair design.

1.  Where do you work? Peyton Thomas Salon in Soutlake, TX.  LOVE my manager, and the ladies I work around.  Its a fantastic company! (Phone #: 817-748-2103)

2. How many years have you been a hair styliest and designer?  10 years, and 2 1/2 of those I taught and am a licensed instructor.  I graduated from Ogle Beauty Academy.

3.  What inspires and gives you energy?  My daughter Aliva,  I do everything I do to make her life better.  Professionally, I’m inspired when a client returns because they really liked my work on their hair.  Also when a client asks me to do something bizarre and crazy, and it turns out extraordinary, totally energizes me!

4.  What do you like about wedding hair design?  Its what inspired me to be a stylist in the first place!  My passion is specifically for those special moments when the entire day is about my client, achieving perfection for my client, drives me.

4.  How long did you aspire to be a hair styliest/designer?  Since I was little bitty, and started doing my parents hair in bows and and little barrettes…whatever I could use, on whoever would let me!

5.  Where do you ultimately see your business?  I see myself taking advantage of every opportunity that arises, and as long as I’m making people happy, I feel I’m doing exactly what I should be!  I love where I’m at, and I’m excited for what is ahead for myself and my clients!

If you want to contact Heather Roundy, she can be found at Peyton Thomas salon in Southlake, TX (817)748-2103

If you’re struggling with ideas for your wedding invitations, have I found the place for you!!

Wedding Paper Diva’s have not only come up with fresh designs, the most quality of product, and completely geared toward couples getting married, but they offer every opportunity to customize your invitations with fantastic prices!  They have exlusive designs, new weekly, these ladies have thought of everything you could possibly need or want for your invitations!!   I love taking pictures, and I love seeing these pictures show up on gorgeous announcements, invitations, thank you notes..this is totally the place to go!

linky, linky!    http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/ (and no, I am reaping no extra benefit for the plug, I just love what they do!!)

My plan? To spotlight online and local vendors once per week, there are so many amazing people and resources for the bride and groom these days!

So, I’m in the middle of putting together a baby shower for my FANTASTIC girlfriend (who has put up with me since the 5th grade, why? I will never know!) and I am getting a taste for what my couples go through planning an event.  This one?  Smaller, less stress, and well, in my home.  I cannot fathom the extensive planning my brides and grooms go through for their weddings…but I hear that many are going down the “homemade” route..which is AWESOME!  So, my next spotlight will be on the “homemade” wedding, quickly becoming a trend!  As for the bride who savors quality over quantity?  Ask about our European package, we have been getting tons of inquiries over this package, and booked a few weddings…this package is for the more intimate wedding, when you want quality pictures…Apparently, the Intimate Wedding is the new “black.”  :)   Oh, my internet friends, how I adore your complimentary, encouraging, ego-building emails over our pictures, our blog, the website…its humbling…

Next?  Another feature on Intimate Weddings is in the pipeline… Cathy & Michael’s beautiful wedding at Eldorado Country Club…more to come!
