I giggle when I’m around these two. They have these funny expressions they give to one another, they crack each other up, and you can’t help but get in the middle of it with them! After a beautiful ceremony at the gorgeous Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in Mckinney, Texas, there was definitely no laughing as they danced with each other and then with their parents. In fact, as many weddings as I shoot, I seem to have at least one moment at every wedding that I wipe away tears. And at this wedding, this was that moment. As Shannon’s dad held her close, and as Ricky’s mom held him close, it was clear that all they could see was their little girl, and their little boy. It reminded me of my own babies…who will no doubt one day stand as tall as I am, with their arms around me…and my mind will only remember the baby I held, the toddler I cuddled…the child that snuggled into my lap. So much love and personality was put into this wedding. Details like the flowers….completely put together by their dear friends Kathy and Mike. Everyone, even though traveling from the other side of the country, came together to celebrate amidst all the things that life throws out….this was a moment in time to celebrate. And we were incredibly honored to have been part of that.
