Beautiful. I think I heard that word tossed around about, oh say, a MILLION times that day! Mostly about the Bride, I mean let’s just get that out there straight-a-way, Amy is BEYOND beautiful. But the location, the flowers, the details, everything about their wedding was absolutely beautiful.
I remember when I started this journey, made the decision to capture weddings, this was the type of wedding I pictured in my head. I could see the details, the gorgeous outdoor venue. But what has taken me by surprise…really, knocked the wind out of me at times, is the opportunity I have been blessed with to capture in a tangible way the love between two people, and their families, and their friends. As Amy made the walk with her father down to the ceremony spot, passing under stone arches, past finely groomed gardens, a look passed between them, and was gently given over to her husband-to-be. It made me think of my own little girls, and how truly significant this moment in a wedding is. Truly handing over this child you’ve loved, the baby you spent a lifetime cherishing…a moment of total trust. As Amy’s father handed his daughters hand and put it into Blake’s, I felt a new wash of thankfulness over me, that I am part of this moment with each of our Bride’s and grooms, and their families.

The venue, Paradise Cove in Southlake was spectacular. It overlooked the water, the sunset must have been ordered in, it couldn’t have been more beautiful. And the staff was amazing, everything was meticulously done, the food was great, and they made the Bride and groom feel completely at ease with the events and timing. The florist, Devin Designs (Darla Denton) rocked out the colors and arrangements! Ruth Robbins of Tastefully Yours Cakes designed the cake, and WOW, beautiful and tasty! The DJ, Jeff Hornack, kept the group movin! The programs and paper details all thanks to The Paper Kut, and Hair & Makeup were done beautifully by Amy Robinson of Peyton Thomas!
